With a theme of Bowties 'n' Bling there was a lot of fun as everyone danced to Christmas music with like minded friends.
"We did wonder at times if there would be a Christmas dance this year, but we never lost hope, we made it happen, and what a night it was," Wendy said.
"For several months we were unable to dance at all, then dancing was permitted in smaller numbers, or wearing a mask.
"Whatever was required, we did it, we kept dancing, and above all we still laughed, and had fun," Wendy said.
"The highlight of the night was a surprise visit by the Christmas Angel herself, complete with her candle to light up the dance floor. Thank you Cathie Haynes, you danced like an angel as well," Wendy said.
Wendy and Peter thanked all the dancers for their continued support of the group.
"The power of dance and movement to music, as well as learning new skills has amazing benefits for brain health, along side the improved physical fitness that comes with dancing. The social connection with friends is so important too and anyone can learn," Wendy said.
There's more dancing planned for 2022 with new dances to learn, challenges for more experienced dancers, catch up classes and a Basics for Beginners class, starting February 2. Contact Wendy 0412997769 for more information or to book your spot, email wendycolhoun@bigpond.com.
