The Resource Recovery Centre will commence its annual shire-wide summer clean up in Balaclava, Mittagong, Renwick and Welby from Monday, February 4. The Clean Up is available to all current domestic Council waste service users and is operated on a pre-book and pre-paid basis. Old furniture, metals and white goods with doors removed (excluding fridges), sawn timber off-cuts, wrapped glass and mirrors, household goods and mattresses are just some of the items that can be disposed of. Old televisions and computer monitors, household waste like food scraps, green waste, domestic recycling, demolition materials and builders rubble, chemicals and hazardous items including poisons, car tyres, batteries and vehicle engines are some of the non-permissible items. Asbestos and fibrous cement products (fibro) are also not accepted.
