These bears help reduce the stress and trauma of illness and hospitalisation for patients and the local branch of the CWA has made about 1000 bears in recent years for local paramedics.
The CWA said that some had also been donated to local domestic violence services and women's shelters for young children.
The CWA members have been busy learning about cyber security and online safety, and enjoying two weaving workshops and an Easter egg decorating workshop. Members are also preparing for the State Conference in Bega, from May 2-6.
The next meeting of the Pambula-Merimbula Branch of the CWA will be on Friday, April 16, commencing at 9:30am, in the CWA Hall, Pambula. Guest speaker will be Elaine Heath, from the Merimbula Branch of Legacy. All are welcome to attend.
