Rain clouds quite literally cast doubt over play early on Saturday with downpours threatening to leave teams without play, but the sun broke through the clouds around lunch time and grounds dried out quickly for matches to go ahead.
For Pambula, the Bluedogs were playing host to the South Euro Pirates at their Pambula Beach home ground on Saturday.
The Pirates took the crease first and were able to bat out their full 40 innings for 162.
Colin Fosternally had set the tone early with a good knock of 37 runs before he was caught by Jake Taylor.
Down the order the Pirates found some handy runs to keep building their tally despite solid pressure from the Pambula bowling attack.
MIchael Talbott scored 21, Stuart Piper added 18 and captain Elijah Blair scored 13 through the middle order.
The Pirates also showed a little resilience at the tail end of play.
Rory McAlpin led the wicket count for the Bluedogs with 3/24, while Ryan Wilson 2/24 and Bobby McAlpin 2/11 also proved handy with the ball.
Tom Hammond and Taylor created a good opening partnership for the Bluedogs with 33 and 22 respectively.
However, 25 from Ryan Wilson further down the order was the only stiff resistance the Bluedogs could muster as the club bled a couple of cheap wickets to bat out the 40 overs and finish on 8/147.
Scores were similar in the clash between the Tathra Sea Eagles and the Merimbula Knights with the Tathra outfit opening at the crease.
Tynan Taylor hit 33 before a Brendan Daley catch sent him back to the sheds, while Chris Dwyer and Geordie Gibbs had 23 and 24 to bolster the tally as the Eagles climbed to an all-out for 157 finish.
Ajay Dhanian headed up the bowling with 3/22, while Dylan Jordan 2/20, Zac Wells 2/40 and Ash Postance 2/30 all shared honours.
With the bat in hand, Daley had set a good start for the Knights with 40 runs to his name before being caught by Tathra keeper Geordie Gibbs.
A half-century 51 to Dylan Jordan built on the start and the Knights looked promising for a win.
However, the Tathra bowling attack ramped up in the afternoon and devastated the lower order, claiming five ducks on the way to ending Merimbula's innings all-out for 125.
The two-day draw heads to round five this weekend with Merimbula heading to Bermagui to face the Breakers, while Pambula will travel to Mallacoota to face off with Eden.
