Mick Brosnan said they are working with the evacuation centre co-ordinators in Cobargo and Qaama and also at Kiah.
"We've got 11 donated caravans so far and we're taking them to those who have lost their homes. Sadly we will need many more but it does seem to be helping," Mr Brosnan said,
They need more caravans and ask if anyone has - most likely an older caravan - that they are willing to donate because they no longer use it, Mr Brosnan will pick it up to deliver to someone in need.
The caravan must be capable of being towed; the RMS has kindly waived the cost of the towing permit.
Also small working electrical goods are needed for the caravans, such as microwave cookers and kettles.
