Organised by cancer survivor Lyn Dawson and cafe owner Sue Wilkie, who supplied the food, the event raised a massive $1150 in donations for the Cancer Council with a little more still to come from the donation box that remains at the cafe.
Lyn said it was a wonderful community effort.
"It encourages us all to know that others care and we all want to create a better world, hopefully a cancer free world for our children and grandchildren," Lyn said.
"It was wonderful to have several fashion parades from Ginger and Luvvy, from Brief Affairs and to have Phil on the microphone. The community are very generous in their donations and the money will be used wisely by the Cancer Council in research and improving the lives of cancer patients," Lyn added.
Last year Lyn organised a Go Pink Breast Cancer fundraiser with Sue Wilkie but was unable to attend on the actual day because she was recovering from surgery, chemotherapy and radiation for breast cancer.
Lyn said this year she was recovering well.
"I will remain on medication and hope for many more healthy years ahead," she said.
