The continuation of the Flexi Bus service in Candelo and Eden could be in doubt unless there is better take up of the service, fears Sapphire Coast Buslines managing director Jamie Klemm.

The trial of on-demand services in Eden, five days a week and in Candelo, on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time were launched late last year.
"People have been telling me for years that they want these services and I fought really hard to be part of the trials. People seemed very interested but it just hasn't come to fruition," Ms Klemm said.
The two year trial gets reviewed every six months and each month Ms Klemm must submit passenger numbers to the government about the subsidised service.
"With the first six month first term coming to an end, I am very concerned for the region that these trial services will be lost if we cannot gain more passengers for government to judge the success of the service on.

"Eden in particular has had two other trial services in the past and I fear that loosing a third could see an end to government interest in demand services for the Eden area if this one also is not continued due to lack of patronage. The response in Candelo was positive on launch day, however again take up of passengers has been very slow.
"If we can continue the trial it will see further services trialled in Bega and Merimbula commencing in May but we really need public backing to get government to support this," Ms Klemm stressed.
