"People are overwhelmingly excited and people want us here. I'm really excited about being part of the community. It's a really good feeling," Mr Stanford said during the information session.
The display showed the proposed development application and the timetable of events to date as the company has sought to have the area rezoned. Development approvals manager Philip Drew said that details about landscaping, traffic planning and noise will be considered when the DA is on exhibition.
Currently the plan to rezone the land is on exhibition through council. The 30 day period ends on April 5 and then the comments and results will be collated and bought back to council. In July 2017 Bunnings resubmitted its proposal to council incorporating the recommendations from the Joint Regional Planning Panel.
