On Friday, December 14 at Merimbula RSL Club, the members and friends of Merimbula Day View Club will gather for the last time in 2018 with a Christmas celebration and entertainment by The Boys’ Choir from Lumen Christi College.

Another special guest will be Mrs David Livingstone aka Meg Ward.
Meetings will resume on Friday, February, 8.
Friday’s lunch will cost $25 for your choice from the usual menu plus dessert, and will commence at 11.30am for 12 noon.
Bookings and cancellations can be made by calling Iris Ballard on 0448840752 by Wednesday, December 12.
There will be a prize for the best Christmas headpiece and those attending are asked to bring a small gift to exchange to the value of approximately $10.
President Danielle and the members of the club would like to thank all those who have supported their fund raising activities during the year, the proceeds of which go towards the work of The Smith Family, and to wish you the compliments of the season.
Pambula-Merimbula CWA
The Pambula-Merimbula Country Women Association said it has been a busy year with many fundraisers and community activities.
The CWA will be taking a well deserved break after the last meeting for 2018 on December 14. The meeting will be followed by a Christmas lunch at Club Sapphire, Merimbula.
The first meeting for 2019 will be in the CWA Hall, 24 Toalla Street, Pambula, on Friday, February 15. Further details will be advised after Christmas.
Please note every one is welcome to attend these meetings, come and get to know the ladies, it’s a great way to meet new friends. The CWA isn't only about cooking, although that is a nice part, it’s about friendship, community support and fun too.
Funds raised for Legacy
Chairwoman of Far South Coast Legacy Elaine Heath said that the recent fundraising dinner dance held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day and held at the Merimbula RSL Club was very successful.
“We raised $1800 on the night which will be used to support our war widows in the area,” Ms Heath said.
People were encouraged to dress in costume of the 1920s for the historical event.
She thanked the many local businesses who donated to the raffle at the dinner dance and the community for their support.
Garden Club
Lindy Bolser, the Zone Coordinator for Garden Clubs Australia was a special guest at the Merimbula and District Garden Club Christmas lunch at the Merimbula RSL Club.
Kris Kringle, fun activities and a visit from Mrs Merry Santa Clause were enjoyed by all and members received their Garden Clubs of Australia calendar and home made Christmas cake gifts.
