Day View Club
Our Christmas break-up meeting is Friday, December 14 where our special guest will be Mrs David Livingstone and we will be entertained by the Lumen Christi Boy’s Choir. There will be a prize for the best Christmas hat and don’t forget to bring a small gift to exchange. Visitors are always welcome to visit or join VIEW which stands for Voice Information and Education of Women and raises money to support the work of The Smith Family.

CWA
The October meeting of the Pambula-Merimbula CWA saw it’s new committee for 2019 elected: president Elizabeth Prosser, treasurer Alison Jenkins, secretary Jan Humphreys and office bearers Geraldine Wilson, Barbara Davy, Joy Dawson, Laraine Clarke, Joy Aitken, Ursula Viebcke, Wendy Cugley and Coralie Frew. Far South Coast group secretary Lynn Lawson chaired the meeting.
This past year our branch has generously donated to the Associated Country Women of the World, the Drought Fund, Community Carers Association, Social Justice Advocates, Cancer Breast Care Nurses, Pambula Primary School, Merimbula Girl Guides, Bake for Babies, Angel Flight, and the CWA Association Fund.
The next meeting will be held on Friday, November 16 at the CWA Hall, 24 Toalla Street, Pambula at 9.30am. At this meeting we will be presenting our Land Cookery entries to be judged, and advice given, by Barbara Smith a CWA State Cookery Judge.
This competition is open to the public, male, female, also a children’s section. Get those wooden spoons and cake tins ready. All members and visitors are welcome to come and have a cuppa and some cake as well.
History society
The Merimbula Imlay Historical Society Christmas lunch will be held at Cafe 22 in Pambula on December 12.
Evening View
Merimbula Evening View Club presented a poppy wall hanging (see photo), made by their members, to the Merimbula RSL sub-Branch.
