Introducing two new plays, the program will engage audiences in a myriad of ways.
“Seeds”, written by Michelle Pettigrove and directed Frankie J Holden, will be close to the hearts of all who know the complications of conceiving a child.
The play highlights both the poignant and the funny side of this journey through the stories of four different women.
In the words of the director, Frankie J Holden, the play “depends, of course, on having the right actors, and as a director, I could not have wished for better actors than Amber Little, Amanda Rafferty, Jodie Meaker and, of course, Michelle”.
“They have each brought their own insights and experience to their performances,” Mr Holden said.
The laughter builds in the second play “Hands Up Who’s Not Here!” written and directed by longtime Spectrum member John Fraser.
This is the third of John’s works to be produced by the group and again showcases his inimitable style and humour.
With a local cast of eight in a wide range of ages, “Hands Up” is sure to tickle the funny bone.
Presented with table seating on September 7, 8,14,15,21 and 22, and concert seating at matinees on September 9 and 16, “Take Two” is sure to be a great outing for mature audiences.
Tickets cost $35 and are available online from Spectrum Theatre’s website www.spectrumtheatregroup.com.au
