
Catches of squid as well as salmon and tailor including the occasional kingfish maintain interest for local and visiting anglers from the Merimbula Fishing Platform.
Sand and tiger flathead are available off Tura Beach and Bournda and northwards all the way to Tathra. With water temperature at 19 degrees try a little shallower at 18 fathoms.
Good snapper and morwong are to be found off Long Point, Hunter Rock and Haycock and also from the Eden reefs further south. Salmon and tailor are reported upstream in Pambula Lake. Bream, trevally and a few dusky flathead are also on the chew in the lower parts of Merimbula Lake. Salmon using spinners from the beaches were reported, including Tura and Tura North.
