There is nothing fishy about three Eden Marine High students being named on the South Coast Tunas Aussie rules team.
Teams from Wollongong, Nowra, Eurobodalla, Queanbeyan and the Far South Coast travelled to Hanging Rock Oval in Batemans Bay recently to contest the Tunas carnival.
Local AFL convenor Phil Jackson said the teams were all well matched and Caleb Higgins, Jedd Martyn and Max Geaghan played with “verve, gusto and enthusiasm” in taking on their opponents.
All three made selection in the Tunas side that will compete in the All-Schools AFL carnival in Albury on June 7-9.
From this carnival a NSW Bluedogs All-Schools AFL team will be selected for the National Carnival.
Officials thanked the Bay Seahawks for use of their ground and volunteers who officiated on the day.
