Wright was presented his baggy blue by legend of the ACT cricket fraternity Cade Brown at a special ceremony on Manuka Oval.
Wright was with Comets team-mates and fellow debutant Kerrod Brown for the presentation.
Cade said he had been following Mac’s development and was proud to present the hat to the young spin bowler.
“Wrighty, I feel really luck to give this to you - I've seen you develop over the last two or three years,” Cade said.
“All the sacrifices that you and your family have made to be here today, I don’t think this will be your last hat presentation.
“How many of these presentations you make it to will really be up to you mate.
“It's about the quality of person and quality of player that wears this hat and I couldn't be prouder of you.”
Mac was recognised at a junior development camp by Comets high performance coach Mark Higgs three years ago.
He was fast tracked into the Canberra league where he plays for Weston Creek Molonglo as well as playing in the junior Comets rep sides.
It has been a whirlwind development for Mac who took to field against WA for the Comets top roster on Monday.
