The Tesla Model 3 has received its second price cut within a month, with a $3000 discount now applied to the popular electric sedan.

Following price cuts in overseas markets overnight, Tesla has slashed $3000 from the list price of the Model 3 rear-wheel drive (RWD) and Long Range AWD in Australia.
Priced from $58,900 before on-road costs, the Tesla Model 3 RWD is now just $1500 dearer than the lowest price of the pre-update model, which occurred in the weeks prior to the facelifted sedan's local arrival in late 2023.
The Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD now starts from $67,900 before on-road costs, a $4000 saving on when the facelifted variant went on sale last year.

The $3000 price cut has also been applied to the same grades of the Tesla Model Y SUV, which has been detailed here.
According to Tesla's Australian website, if you order a Model 3 now you can expect delivery between now and June.
The brand has yet to announce a timeline for the overseas or local launch of the new Tesla Model 3 Performance, despite the flagship variant being leaked multiple times in recent weeks.
Between January and March 2024, Tesla sold 5954 Model 3s in Australia, trailing the 6835 Model Ys it sold – though the sedan was held up due to a non-compliance fault which has subsequently been resolved.
