Pearls Place serves delicious lunches to those looking for a warm welcome and some extra company, every Wednesday from 12 noon although the cafe will be closed on Australia Day, January 26.
Peals Place finished 2021 with a Christmas lunch on Wednesday, December 22 when 35 guests, all of them regulars at the weekly event, enjoyed a meal prepared and served by volunteers.
"It was a fabulous lunch with delicious food, a very festive dining room, lots of extra treats, and a lucky door prize and a hamper full of goodies for each guest to take home. We even had a surprise visit from Santa," Pearls Place president Kate Smith said.
"Judging by the smiles and the sounds of happy chatting and laughter, everyone had a great day, including our volunteers.
"I'd like to acknowledge and thank Woolies Merimbula and Tura Beach, Sapphire Dairy and Juices, Hugo White, and the Pambula Branch of the CWA for their generous donations", she added.
