The 42-year-old is reportedly in a stable condition with the lacerations to her lower thigh consistent with a shark bite being treated at Shoalhaven Hospital.
South Coast Police District Commander Superintendent Greg Moore said the woman was expected to be discharged from Shoalhaven Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
"She was supported in attending the hospital," said Superintendent Moore. "The injuries are minor, she's in a stable condition."

He added that police attended the location and have contacted authorities to ensure the beach is safe.
"The police have responded to that location and been in contact with the lifesaver helicopter that has done a canvass of the area," he said.
"There is no cause for alarm but we're making sure to check with all the local authorities to make sure that that beach remains a safe place to swim at."
Superintendent Moore could not confirm details on the species of shark or whether the woman is local.
