The club thanked Lumen Christi for the use of their courts with the 'Mamba Mentality' squad able to clinch a narrow eight-point win over 'Toon Squad'.
Officials also thanked Dane Tucker for organising what they said was a very successful season.
The Merimbula Basketball community is excited to announce that the new courts are still on scheduled and are due to be completed by the beginning of March.
The new covered courts will allow a variety of programs to be run in Merimbula.
These include walking basketball, inclusive basketball, kid's, men's, ladies and mixed basketball.
Expressions of interest are being sought for inclusive basketball and walking basketball, due to be launched early next year.
Officials said walking basketball is a low-impact, social and fun way to improve levels of physical activity for those recovering from injury.
The program provides optimal health benefits to all who participate including those who might be intimidated by the pace and impact of a traditional basketball game, but love the slower more social version of Walking Basketball.
The competition is for participants across all ages, genders and abilities with the event being organised by Kerrie Graham who can be contacted on 0410 843543 or via the Merimbula Basketball Facebook page.
Inclusive basketball is being run by Sarah Maguire and is a fun and safe program for adults and children. It aims to encourage divesity, promote inclusiveness and is for all ages and abilities. Please contact Sarah through the Facebook page for more info.
The Sharks wish the community a happy and safe Christmas and look forward to welcoming everyone at the revitalised courts in 2021.
