The event on Saturday, October 24 was made all the more special by the relaxing of COVID seating restrictions the night before the event took place.
Jacquie Smith owner of Wheeler's Seafood Restaurant said it was a lovely event to host.
"Each year it's getting bigger and better and gives our locals a great reason to dress up and enjoy each others company," Ms Smith said.
Pambula Business Chamber organised the event because of the important assistance it gives to local families dealing with the stresses that come with a cancer diagnosis so far from the larger metropolitan centres.
"Just about everyone has struggled with some form of cancer in their lives - whether it's their own battle or that of a close friend or relative. It will always be an enemy worth fighting," Michelle Collins, Pambula Business Chamber secretary said.
The full table service and free flowing champagne at Wheelers ensured guests were well fed and ready for fun. Lots of games, raffles and auction opportunities meant that the fundraising efforts scooped a hefty $5,600, a fitting recognition of the prizes donated for the day.
"Almost all of our sponsors this year were members of Pambula Business Chamber. They were remarkably generous, especially after the anxiety that 2020 has brought to local businesses," chamber president Michelle Pettigrove said.
Event sponsors included Aloha Eve, Goldfinch, Health Within, Bega Cheese Heritage Centre, Black Daisy Trading, Sarah Bourke Jewellery, Ochiltree Jewellery, Saarinen Organics, Mirjam Aigner textile artist, Toast Café, Super Cellars, Wild Ryes, Banksia Restaurant, Sapphire Coast Eats, Farm on the Green.
Pambula Business Chamber is currently planning its late night shopping on Thursday, December 17.
