The organisation said it was continuing key services to the boating community, including monitoring marine radio and responding to emergencies on the water.
The Spencer Park base is restricted to all but essential operational members until further notice. Anyone needing to report an emergency can enter but otherwise, call 6495 3331 or email base.merimbula@marinerescuensw.com.au
All public fundraising, community events, public education courses, unit meetings, recruitment and training have been postponed until further notice.
Historical society
In response to the COVID-19 emergency, the Old School Musuem will be closed until further notice. The situation will be reviewed on a fortnightly basis. The March meeting of the Historical Society has been cancelled.
Arts group
Merimbula & District Arts Group has postponed its Annual Easter Awards Exhibition due to the coronavirus and is hoping to re-schedule the event in September. The members' gallery at Oaklands in Pambula will also be closed indefinitely.
View Club
Following a directive from the View Club national office that, due to the ongoing situation with the coronavirus, all meetings should no longer go ahead, the president and committee of the Merimbula Evening View Club wish to inform all members that the evening dinner meetings will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. This will also include 40th birthday celebration.
BVRG
Bega Valley Regional Gallery has closed to the public and cancelled it's impending public programs, until further notice. The gallery said it would be supporting exhibiting artists and touring partners by sharing exhibitions online.
