A NSW Police spokesman said Orkopoulos, 62, would be issued with a court attendance notice for failing to comply with reporting obligations.
The NSW State Parole Authority will meet on Wednesday to consider revoking his parole.
"The State Parole Authority will tomorrow consider revoking parole for a 62-year-old offender after receiving a breach report from Community Corrections this afternoon," it said in a statement.
Orkopoulos was released from prison in December last year after spending more than 11 years behind bars for child sex offences.
"Following an investigation by officers from Eastern Beaches police area command, a court attendance notice will be served on a 62-year-old man for the offence of failing to comply with reporting obligations," the police spokesman said.
Orkopoulos is due to front Waverley Local Court on March 4.
