Tilba, December 1
A nation-wide dance, the first event of its kind in Australia's history, will take place at the Tilba Tilba oval at the foothills of Gulaga, also known as Mount Dromedary, this weekend. Starting at 12pm Yuin people will be painted in traditional ochre and led by Uncle Warren Foster Sr in a rehearsal dance and smoking ceremony before a nation-wide dance for traditional custodians takes place at 1pm. Non-traditional custodians are welcome, but will not part-take in the sacred songs and dances.
Band Together 2
Wolumla, November 30
Held at the Wolumla Rec Ground, headlining this year's massive concert are ARC Supergroup - featuring members of Spiderbait, Powderfinger, You Am I and Jet. Also on stage will be Mental as Anything and Bachelor Girl among a huge line-up of local artists. Band Together is being held as a fundraiser for both the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter and the Bega Valley Disaster Relief Fund. Those attending are encouraged to use the buses travelling from around the Bega Valley Shire for $5 each way to avoid too much congestion at the rec ground - a timetable and details are on the event's website. Gates open at 12pm.
Afternoon tea with alpacas
Jervis Bay, November 30 and December 1
Come out to beautiful Jervis Bay and visit Glenbungle Farm on Jervis Bay Road, Woollamia. Take alpacas for walks, see chickens, ducks and meet the Maremma sheepdogs that guard them from wily foxes. Then follow with an afternoon tea in the middle of the farm with coffee and scones with jam and cream and home-made lemonade. Adults $20, children $5. The events run from 1pm-3pm.
Twofold turns 40
Jigamy, November 30
Come to Jigamy near Eden this weekend to celebrate Twofold Aboriginal Corporation's 40th birthday. There will be live performances by music legends No Fixed Address and Matty Walker as well as local performers. Everyone is welcome, there will also be food vans, family fun and culture. The celebrations run from 10am-4pm. Entry is free.
Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men

From the producer of Pearl, The Janis Joplin Story, comes another production delving into the lives and music of iconic singer songwriters who shaped the world and the music. Grab your tickets to the Milton Theatre's The Songs and Tales of Angry Old Men featuring more than 20 great songs interwoven with tales that reveal surprising and unknown stories behind the music. Audiences can expect music from legendary artists including Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Nick Cave, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp and many more. It starts at 8pm.
