We will be hearing about some of our members at this meeting and don't forget the "Make it, Bake it, Sew it, Grow it" table. Please mark the items you donate for sale with a price, and if you would like to take part in a gift exchange at the Christmas meeting, gifts will be accepted from now on.
View Clubs are an important part of The Smith Family which is a national charity helping young Australians in need, to make the most of their education, thereby creating better futures for themselves. Visitors are always welcome at club meetings.
Pambula Beach Probus Club
On Monday, October 21, 55 members attended the Pambula Beach Probus meeting held at the Pambula Merimbula Golf Club which was also a celebration of the club's 25th anniversary.
President Allan Crowe welcomed John Tanner of Pambula Rotary. The guest speaker was Michael Mutsch, secretary manager of the Merimbula RSL Club who spoke with knowledge and enthusiasm about the club industry in general and in our area in particular.
Following this meeting, all members sat down to a smorgasbord lunch during which we were addressed by Allan Elton and John Tanner of Pambula Rotary. This was followed by an address from Mary Gainey, Fran and Wally Elfring, foundation members of Pambula Beach Probus Club. President Allan Crowe invited them to cut the anniversary cake.
The next meeting of the club will be held in the Garden Room of the Pambula Merimbula Golf Club on Monday, November 18 when our guest speakers will be a group of students from Lumen Christi Catholic College. All visitors and guests will be made most welcome.
