The Australian Community Media Buy Local campaign returns following last year's success, this time encompassing 54 businesses across the entire Bega Valley.
Shopping at any of the participating businesses could net you a shot at the major prize of a brand new Kia Picanto valued at $15,000.
However, as many would already know, anyone shopping locally is already on a winner.
Club Sapphire is very involved in the campaign and the car will be on show close to the bowling greens.
"The club recognises the importance of shopping local and supporting local businesses and is pleased to be involved in this campaign," CEO of Club Sapphire Damien Foley said.
Acting president of the Bega Chamber of Commerce John Watkin said it was "more important than ever" to consider buying from local retailers.
"There's so much temptation with online shopping these days that anything we can do to promote buying locally is critical. You can't touch and feel things shopping online, you can't try clothes on. You don't get that friendly face and advice when you buy something online," Mr Watkin said.
He said money is put back into the community by those retailers, including sponsorship of sports clubs and donations to community groups and initiatives that are not assisted by money spent online.
ACM sales manager for the Far South Coast Tim Shinnick said the Bega Valley Buy Local campaign encouraged everyone to not only shop in their own town, but spread the benefits Valley-wide.

For your chance to win a new Kia Picanto valued at $15,000 thanks to Tarra Motors Bega, shop at any of the participating businesses to receive your entry form.
Each business has set their own minimum spend for a customer to be considered a valid entrant in the competition. They will provide their customer with the relevant entry ticket, which can then be filled out and dropped off at any of three locations - Bega District News office, Club Sapphire Merimbula and Supply Central Eden.
The competition closes at 5pm October 25, 2019, with the winner drawn on October 28, 12pm.
ACM thanks our campaign major sponsors Tarra Motors, Bega Valley Shire Council, Club Sapphire and the Bega Chamber of Commerce.
