PDHA President Shirley Rixon said the donation was appreciated by the auxillary and the chairs would greatly benefit the comfort and welfare of hospital patients.
According to Ms Rixon a "generous" donation has also been received from the Breakfast Members of the Cruising Yacht Club in Sydney. The funding will go towards approved equipment purchase at the hospital. A wish list is being determined by the management of the hospital, Ms Rixon said.
Fundraising for future equipment purchases is continuing over winter at local markets and on the streets of Eden, Pambula and Merimbula, along with Friday evening meat raffles held at the Royal Willows Hotel in Pambula.
Southern Local District health promotions officer Marcella Levy will be a guest speaker at the next monthly PDHA meeting. The meeting will take place at 10.00am on Wednesday, June 26 in the CWA Rooms at Pambula Hospital. Nurse Manager Roxanne Edwards-Mcguire will also be in attendance.
