The Diggers were at home to the Eden Whalers on Saturday and despite a good first-quarter challenge from the visitors, ran away with the game to win 16-6-102 to 4-5-29.
Meanwhile, the Panthers downed the Narooma Lions at the Pambula Sporting Complex in a tighter clash, 10-12-72 over 6-10-46.
In Merimbula, the Diggers were challenged early in the piece by the Whalers who contested well in the central clearances.
The Whalers challenged the high ball well and play began to fluctuate through the middle with the visitors even able to kick a pair of goals early to lead 12-6 ahead of the Diggers.
However, Merimbula began finding their stride and the middle started to take more control for the Diggers to post options on the goals.
Daniel Worden was in the thick of the play, while Brendon Gordon and Harrison Peters were also heavily active through the midfield.
With some quick movement by Noah and Jedd Martyn, possession was starting to favour the Diggers' attacking end and the club were rewarded with a lead 25-12 at the first break.
The home side were fully in their stride by the second quarter to outscore the visitors five goals to one, which laid the foundation for the second half of play as the Diggers ran away with the result.
At Pambula, the Panthers got the edge over the Lions in the opening quarter and never eased off the pressure to hold on for the win.
Edward Moore and Ethan Adams were critical in the Panthers' success as the two best on ground for the home club, getting play forward for Jono Di-Donato who kicked three.
Scott Richmond and Sean Smith both bagged a pair.
The Panthers had the edge by a solitary goal in the first quarter, but blasted ahead of the visitors in the second, firing off three unanswered goals to lead 42-15 at the main break.
The Panthers also saw individual goals to Shannon Butterfield, Mitch Wallis and Kyle Tucker.
The Lions fired back three goals in the final period to try and close in on the Panthers, but the hosts matched pace on the scoreboard and the damage had already been done earlier.
Both clubs suffered losses in the women's draw, while Pambula had a bye in reserve grade as they Diggers reserves went down to the Sea Eagles.
The Diggers have a bye this weekend, while the Panthers head to Eden to meet the Whalers.
