Their visit was hosted by the sanctuary’s very own twin keepers Jade and Tahnee Harris, who gave the crew some very special encounters, meeting a few of the sanctuary’s popular residents and a guided tour through the grounds.
Jade and Tahnee shared the fascinating story behind the sanctuary’s beginnings, its mission dedicated to both educate and delight visitors, through the raising of awareness of the value of our natural world, our precious wildlife, and its penchant for twins!
There are native species resident which also produce twins, such as the sugar and squirrel gliders, and ringtail possums too.
“Cuddles” the carpet python wove his own seductive magic and the tawny frogmouths cleverly catching their food caught everyone’s attention.
“Our VIP visitors were just bowled over by the sanctuary and want to come back again bringing their families too!” Tahnee said.
All the staff were delighted to have them visiting and look forward to seeing the program go to air early next year. The series is particularly aimed at the caravanning and camping communities and airs nationally at 4pm Saturdays on Channel 10.
