Merimbula Fire and Rescue was the first to respond to the incident, which occurred at 2.50pm on Friday, October 19.
Acting station commander Zlatko Nemec said it was a single vehicle crash with no-one trapped inside.
“An L-plater got into difficulties and ran off the road hitting a pedestrian footpath,” Mr Nemec said.
“No-one was trapped inside the vehicle, the driver and passengers were assessed by paramedics.
“There has been no danger to the environment, no petrol spills as such. We are waiting for the Bega Valley Shire Council to arrive and assess the damage to the footpath which is currently a hazard.”
Merimbula Police arrived at the scene to assess the damaged vehicle’s position for a tow truck to access.
“This time of day is very tricky for a tow truck to access the vehicle,” Mr Nemec said.
