The event took place at the Eden Fishermen’s Club on Friday, June 1 and Saturday June 2 with 13 couples taking part each evening.
On Friday evening the couples were presented to Reverend Anthony Frost from the Sapphire Coast Anglican Parish and on Saturday they were presented to Reverend Michael Palmer, Chaplain to the Mission to Seafarers.
The couples were instructed by dance coaches Pam Inwood and Dave Boulton, of Eden.
On both evenings the couples were accompanied by pretty flower girl Rakai Schelfout.
The Eden Combined Churches Debutante Ball has been taking place for 53 years. Flo Young who has been the organiser for 23 years said that the ball seemed as popular now as it ever was.
Interestingly the couples featured three sets of twins, Mitchell and Jacob Dowling, Randall and Will Ewin and Emma and Sophie Webster; all of which made for some fun when it came to photo time.
