Just over 50 kids aged from five to 11-years-old participated in weekly sessions of skills and drills, which were led by local junior coaches, Heath Balodis, Connor Kellalea, Alex High, Tanisha Ingram and Jai Badewitz.
The Merimbula Sharks Basketball Club thanks these coaches for stepping up and helping out the younger ones.
A spokeswoman for the club said “the kids all had a great time learning some new skills and had loads of fun along the way”.
There will be short break over the winter period, but following the success of the debut program, the club aims to run another session starting in September.
More details will be available on the Merimbula Basketball Facebook page or website. For any inqueries please contact Marita Fraser, Hoops co-ordinator on 0425 743 781.
