Far South Coast legatee Pat de Gelder said there was a great connection between the legatees and war widows.
“A lot of these ladies do not see their family on Mothers’ Day as they live far away and a lot of legatees have lost their mums. These ladies are like our mums now and we’re very fond of them,” Ms de Gelder said.
Attendees enjoyed their high tea accompanied by Geoff Willis on piano.
