Felicity made her busking debut at the inaugural Narooma festival last year.
“It was a big step last year, but a good chance to get out there,” she said.
“I ended up having a lot of fun, met lots of people and had great feedback.
“I enjoyed it so much I’ve busked at several other festivals since then where I performed my own material, including at Tamworth. I am really looking forward to busking again at Narooma where it’s so good to walk around and listen to everyone.”
The 2018 Narooma Busking Festival will fill the town with music from a range of talented performers from across NSW, the ACT and Victoria as well as many locals, and it is free and accessible for everyone in the community to enjoy.
It is part of the Australian National Busking Championships (ANBC).
Narooma Busking coordinator Sandra Doyle said last year was a huge success with 57 buskers performing at many busking hot spots around town.
“This year we’re expecting even more buskers to compete for over $9000 in prize money from our wonderful sponsors, and we have many more busking hot spots around town,” Ms Doyle said.
Buskers need to register online by May 12.
The ANBC is now a national event with Narooma hosting one of the regional competitions. Winners from the regional events will be invited to compete in the national grand final in Cooma in November.

Free family fun
Also on the musical front in Narooma, the annual Oyster Festival launches with a bang on Friday, May 4 with a free family concert, freestyle motocross display and fireworks, all making a great warm up to the big day on Saturday.
“Friday night will be quite a spectacle,” organiser Michael Gardner said.
“It’s grown so much thanks to fantastic local support.”
The action starts near the Quota Park festival site at 4.30pm with the first 20-minute show by the FMX Showtime motocross team. Their second show is at 6.
In between, local musicians will play at Quota Park.
Then the Steve Edmonds band, blending blues, rock, soul and roots style, will play until the fireworks at 8pm.
For more information, check the festival website www.naroomaoysterfestival.com. Early bird tickets for Saturday’s festival are available from Club Narooma.
