Teens will work alongside tourism representatives, developing ideas and opportunities for tourism in the Sapphire Coast and Bega Valley.
The benefits of attending the two days include, real world business experience, marketing knowledge, team skills, a seminar/workshop participation certificate that can be used in a portfolio, and potentially, real opportunities to carry forward with as business and social enterprises in tourism and hospitality.
The two day workshop simulates the real world, giving fast paced and direct contact with industry presenters. On day two, the activity involves creating a business, developing a simple enterprise and promoting it to a marketplace.
The purpose of this event and its activities is to give young people a real world opportunity to understand and connect to an important marketing activity.
In both a solo and team environment, youth learn about mind-mapping, brainstorming, researching, market analysis, pitching, designing and product and marketing lifecycles.
The event runs from 9am to 3pm at the Bega Valley Regional Education Centre on April 26 – 27.
