Nationally, Woolworths delivered 300,000 pieces of educational equipment to over 15,000 schools and Early Learning Centres throughout the country.
Tura Beach store manager Garry Trease was delighted to take part in the initiative, thanking shoppers for their support.
“It is not just the shop supporting the school it is all of its shoppers as well, placing their stickers into the buckets out front,” he said.
Assistant principal Janelle Hodson was pleased with the new equipment.
“The extra support coming from the community is greatly appreciated, every year the funds are scarce and this is equipment that we will use to educate,” she said.
“We have resources that are used every day, but they don’t last for ever. With 420 children in the school, any help is great help.”
Bermagui Little Lambs Pre School received explore, discover and reflect, art and craft equipment and resources.
Merimbula Public School received mathematics, sport, art and craft, science equipment and resources.
Merimbula Tura Kindergarten received art and craft, sport, puzzles, construction, mathematics as well as sand, water and garden, equipment and resources.
Quaama Primary School received cultural resources, science, art and craft, puzzles and games equipment and resources.
