Tura Beach Bowlers’ Twilight competition – held each year during daylight savings – held its finals last Thursday.
Fourteen teams competed every Thursday night and 80 people attended the final night, enjoying both the bowling and the barbecue.
The group handed out close to $2000 in prize money over 11 weeks, which included on the night prizes and raffle winners.
There was also money on hand for the final night competitors, including $600 to the overall winners.
Overall winners for the twilight competition were Ross and Di Smith and Val Bradley. Runners-up were Niele Clough, Manfred Neuman and Alan Newton. In third place were Rae and Pinky Stove, Barry Rayner and Lois Russell.

Eve, from Eve O'Brien Properties, said it was important to support local clubs, and sponsoring Twilight Bowls “not only helps the club financially, but provides an outlet for people from all over to get together socially and have some fun”.
