A 20-year-old female driver pulled out of Munje street towards Merimbula on her way to work at around 10.45am.
A male driving a Toyota sedan was heading south towards Pambula when he collided with the 20-year-old.
The crash was at the intersection of Munje street and Arthur Kaine Drive.
A tow truck was called and in the interim a bystander offered assistance by moving the smashed up cars to the kerbside with his ute.
The female driver suffered minor injuries and was driven by a family member to the South East Regional Hospital in Bega.
The female drivers parents were concerned about the cost of the damage and hope to see further investigation by police.
Pambula Rural Fire Service captain Steve Irving said that the accident occurred in a 50km zone and was minor.
Mr Irving said that the intersection can be ‘dodgy’ and that drivers should take extra care.
“We have almost been hit in the fire truck turning out of there when people aren’t slowing down to the 50km zone.”
“We haven’t had to attend an accident there before, although as a resident driving regularly through there you know to be extra careful,” he said.
