PCYC Far South Coast club manager Jason Hough brought the event to Wyndham Public School as a reward for winning the decorations competition at the Lions Club Halloween disco in Merimbula earlier this year.
“Wyndham won the award, so the prize was a bubble soccer event as part of their end of school celebrations,” Mr Hough said.
Lions Club members and Senior Constable Sara Bancroft were also there to help suit up the children and join in the fun.
Bubble soccer was set to be the main activity of the morning, although pupils favoured a game of bump and bounce instead as the ball was quickly forgotten.
Relieving principal Heather Bell was entertained by the activity and loved the buzz of the pupils’ excitement.
“It is absolutely fantastic, the whole school has been able to participate, everyone had a turn,” she said.
The game of high contact had zero incidents, only a few rosy cheeks and sweaty heads.
“It is amazing how the kids can bump each other around, go upside down and be completely safe,” Ms Bell said.
