Paige recently qualified for the National Super 10 finals played at Melbourne Park during the Australian Open.
Officials said it is the fourth year in a row a junior from Merimbula has qualified for the event featuring the top four players from each state in Australia.
Previously Logan Staight, Maka Ofati and Hollie Staight had all competed in the event.
As well as the five days of competition, there is plenty of training and interaction with the professionals at the event.
Some of the kids had the chance to do the coin toss in one of the final rounds and Merimbula club officials said hopefully Paige will get to enjoy that same Australian Open experience.
In the recent Junior awards ceremony Paige picked up mist improved junior girl, while Tom Miller who was recently on the South East Team that won the State championships picked up most improved Junior Boy.
Another notable winner was Luca Ziino who picked up the “sorry mate” award for sportsmanship in 2017.
Officials said the club has a wealth of experience in junior development, but also has social play and friendly competition nights for adults as well.
