It was the seventh year for the event and coordinator Vicki Bond was delighted with the overall attendance of 1020 people who helped to create such a cheerful, festive atmosphere.
“It was a fantastic night, the owners [of Magic Mountain] were really happy,” she said.
“The atmosphere was electric, we even had feedback that it was the best one we have ever had.”
Candy McVeity had organised an extensive lineup of entertainment throughout the evening.
While the audience was still arriving and settling into their deck chairs, the first hour of entertainment was provided by the Sapphire Coast Learning Community Stage Band.
The program then continued with performances from Merimbula Public School, Sapphire Life Church Nativity Musical and Christian Service and students from Lumen Christi Catholic College.
Santa then shocked the crowd making a surprise appearance on stage where he was escorted by two fairies, a handful of elves and reindeer.
The Kalaru Gang, Hunter Watts and Tiarni Burridge, Kitty Kat and the Band of Thieves with Lillian played on into the evening which came to an end before 9pm.
