Merimbula’s long standing Ocean City is no more, the much-loved Chinese restaurant closed its doors on Saturday.

Owner Virginia Xiao has run the restaurant for 19 years and before than owned and ran Yun Wei for aound seven years.
She says the writing has been on the menu wall for some time.
"It’s a very big restaurant, when we were younger it was okay, now we are older and it is harder, we are very busy,” Ms Xiao said.
Ms Xiao and her partner Simon Xia held their last day of trading on Saturday, April 29 before opening their doors for a big celebration and thank you on Sunday, April 30.
Employees past and present, their families and some loyal customers gathered to say goodbye to their beloved restaurant as well as saying goodbye to Ms Xiao and Mr Xia.
Ms Xia and her family are planning to move to Sydney in July, where she hopes to work part time but she said she will never forget the amazing time she had in Merimbula.
“I want to say thank you to all the locals who have supported us over the 26 years.”
