Organisers are making preparations for the upcoming Bega Fun Run.
Officials said a date had been set down for the event with the first run to go ahead from 7am at the Bega Recreation Ground on Ocobter 23.
“It will be a great family event with a 10km, 5km and 2.5km kids’ dash – something for every family member,” a spokeswomen for the event said.
The 2016 Bega Fun Run is an inaugural event for the town and is aimed at being a family event.
All events start and finish at the Bega Recreation Ground with the 10km run going at 7am, the 5km run/walk commencing at 8am and the kids’ dash 2.5km starting at 9am.
The course will take in the beautiful surrounds of the Bega township, Bega countryside and include sections alongside the Bega River.
The event organisers are also seeking donations to assist the South East Carers Accommodation to be built at the new South East Regional Hospital.
Early entries are already open online, but entries will also be accepted on the day.
