A Far South Coast man aged in his 60s has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison for indecently assaulting his granddaughter over a period of 18 months.
The man pleaded guilty before Judge Dina Yehia in Bega District Court on August 23 to four assaults which took place between January 2013 and July 2015.
The indecent assaults took place at the man’s home at night and while his wife was not home.
He will be eligible for parole in April 2019.
