The Sapphire Coast Music Society is delighted to present an entertaining afternoon concert of popular classics performed by Sydney soprano Narelle Yeo accompanied by David Miller on piano.
The two artists will be performing a diverse program of music including pieces by Richard Strauss, Poulenc, Debussy, Sibelius, Verdi, Gounod and Gershwin.
David Miller is recognised as one of Australia’s leading pianists, chamber musicians and vocal accompanists. He has been a senior staff leader of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music since 1980.
David has also been a member of a number of leading Australian chamber ensembles, and has performed extensively both here and in many overseas countries.
He is well known in our region as the driving force behind the annual tour of Sydney Conservatorium students in late June each year.
Narelle Yeo was born in Sydney but spent much of her musical life in the USA, studying for advanced degrees in Opera Performance.
Narelle has performed a number of leading roles in opera and musical theatre in the US since her graduation.
Since returning to Sydney, she has directed a number of operas and musicals in Australia, and currently lectures at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in stagecraft and voice.
Narelle Yeo and David Miller will be performing at Wolumla Hall, Wolumla-Candelo Road, on Sunday, August 28 at 2.30pm with the doors opening at 2pm.
All tickets are $25 but accompanied children under 16 years are free. The price includes afternoon tea. Tickets can be purchased at Magpie Music in Bega, Booktique in Merimbula, the Eden Music Centre or at the door.
