The Blues Brothers Rebooted are on a mission to entertain.
This show is an exciting, hand clapping, toe-taping new production that pays tribute to both the unforgettable and infectious style of soul music and is a faithful recreation of those two brothers who donned the black hats, dark shades and created what is now a musical institution.
This high-energy, fun and polished presentation firstly features an hour of the finest soul, rhythm and blues classics by such artists as The Temptations, The Four Tops and Wilson Pickett .? ?
In the second half, get ready to experience the original men in black when Shane Peters (Jake) and Chris Clackson (Elwood) take to the stage and recreate an authentic tribute to the Blues Brothers.
Their show will feature all the songs, all the moves, all that energy and all that excitement you love and remember from the classic 1980 film which has cemented their music, look and legacy for over 30 years.
Peters and Clackson hail from Australia’s version of Chicago – Blacktown – and put their heart and soul into every performance.
In their band is lead guitarist Frank Brancatisano, one of Sydney’s finest players who can shred with the best or sit back and groove.
David Pierce is a multi talented musician, who in addition to being the super focused and groovy bass player is a dab hand on the tuba.
Russell Parkhouse is a living legend of the Sydney music scene and is a fabulous keys player with real blues feel.
Simon Abbott has played in numerous successful bands and toured extensively in Australia and overseas. He is a master of groove and the heartbeat of the Blues Brothers Rebooted band.
Also, the Blues Brothers Rebooted Kiss My Brass section features a roving selection of some of Sydney’s most in-demand players including Dave Wray on sax, Greg Chilcott on trombone and Luke Stephens on trumpet.
The Blues Brothers Rebooted will perform on August 5 at Club Sapphire, Merimbula from 8.30pm.
One ticket per diamond and platinum Sapphire Rewards member is free. Other members are $20 while it is $25 for non-members. This is an 18+ event.
