On a cool blustery Wednesday night, the Windy City basketball team took out the senior mixed competition at the Merimbula basketball courts.
Club vice-president Owen Humphrey said the team had been red hot favourites ahead of the final showdown and their ability shone through on the night.
Windy City overcame their rivals from Blaze 50-18 in a strong display of skills.
Club members were on hand to cheer on the two finalists with everyone enjoying a barbecue and presentations after the game.
The club runs regular competitions throughout the year and Humphrey said it was a family friendly club.
“We run competitions for all ages and ability,” he said.
The club’s under 12s competition is also nearing fever pitch with the finals to run next week.
There will also be registrations next week for an upcoming men’s winter competition.
