The Snap Send Solve app allows people with an Apple or Android smartphone to take photos of problem issues relating to council and report them with the touch of a button.
Acting group manager for community relations and leisure, Simon Schweitzer said the app offers an instant way for people to report local problems.
“The Snap Send Solve technology works by sending a photo of an identified problem along with the precise global co-ordinates to the relevant council for processing.
“This allows for smaller and hard to find problems such as potholes to be precisely located and dealt with much faster.
“Snap Send Solve has been developed externally and is free to use for all users, including council.
“We do, however, understand that not everyone has or wants to use a smartphone so traditional methods of communication will always be available,” Mr Schweitzer said.
To get the app just type ‘Snap Send Solve’ into the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and download it onto your phone.
