An ironic twist of fate saw the Wolumla Tigresses lock in a Far South Coast Football Association finals berth after a rain catch-up round was played in heavy downpours on Sunday.
A 6-1 win over Bemboka sees the Wolumla outfit making the final four, edging out Merimbula on goal difference.
The Tigresses were able to open up a substantial lead over the Bemboka outfit, but the game was played in very high spirits in spite of the poor conditions.
Goals went to Genna Umback, Sam Johnson and Michaela Wilson, while Sophie Martin was unable to find her strides after a number of shots bounded over the goals.
Bemboka returned fire in the second half, when a stray shot slipped through Wolumla keeper, Ayla Smith's hands.
However, the Tigresses kept up their relentless pressure to run out 6-1 winners.
