The 5km walk/fun run and 10km run was in aid of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a not for profit organisation that promotes and supports research into breast cancer prevention and treatment.
The Sapphire Coast Concert Band assisted with the warm up which was co-ordinated by Tyanna Cullenbers, Gordana Raeck and Dale Gilligan of Merimbula Health and Fitness. The band was also there to welcome runners back and provide some music while participants enjoyed the barbecue organised by Rotary.
Organiser Gai Byrne, of the Merimbula Rotary Club and Shannon Thomson and Bega Valley Child and Family Health Services were delighted with the turnout of 120 runners, many of whom chose to wear pink, and of course with the beautiful weather.
