On Sunday, January 23 the club will throw open its gates to anyone who would like to come along, beginner, returning after a gap or regular player.
From 4-5pm there's some drills and general guidance for the newbies says Merimbula Tennis Club president Paul Mason.
At 5-5.30pm test your reflexes and fitness with some cardio tennis and games.
Enjoy a free barbecue and salads from 5.30-7pm and jump on court for some social play.
To round off the afternoon and evening there's a chance to beat the tennis coach - and he won't be using a tennis racquet.
Armed with a frying pan, a cricket bat or even a tin of tennis balls, coach James Poso will be doing his best to take on all comers and score some points.
Simply turn up on the day at the Merimbula Tennis Club on the corner of Kalinda St and Sapphire Coast Dr.
