A "rundown fibro shack" on the NSW South Coast which underwent a major transformation to become a popular short-term holiday rental has now been sold.
The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home, known as 'Luna' is set on 949 square metres, and located at 18 Calala Street, Huskisson.
It was for sale via expressions of interest, with a price guide of $1.9 million. It sold last week after 44 days on the market.
Selling agent, Able Walsh from One Agency Elite Property Group declined to disclose the sale price, but said the home was sold to a Sydney buyer, sight unseen, who planned to use it as their "summer getaway".
Mr Walsh said the final sale price had "gone close" to the guide.
The beach cottage backs on to the bush reserve, and has been extensively renovated and styled.
The sellers, Lincoln and Jeana O'Toole own and manage short-term holiday rental business Bliss Properties.
As well as managing holiday listings, the business renovates properties on the South Coast and transforms them into short-term rentals.

According to CoreLogic, the Huskisson home previously sold in early 2018 for $720,000.
Mrs O'Toole said when they bought the home, it was "very rundown fibro shack... An early '60s-style shack".
They bought it as a renovation project, which she said had been a "labour of love".
"We could see it was so close to the main street and close to the water," she said. "But it was also backing on to the national park, so it still had all that wildlife surrounding it."
Mrs O'Toole said they installed new flooring, a brand new bathroom with a freestanding bath, and underfloor heating for the bathroom.
"We made sure the two bedrooms had storage, and each of the bedrooms open out on to their own deck," she said.
"We installed high vaulted ceilings and clerestory windows, which brings in so much more natural light. And we installed bifolds going out on the back deck, where you're looking out into natural bushland.
"We wanted it to still have that real nostalgic, 'beachside holiday that you used to take as a kid' feel. Cute and full of beach nostalgia.
"It's really bright, light and airy, and has a really relaxed feel. It's a really nice place to be."
By early 2019, it was being let out as a short-term holiday rental and has proven popular. Its rate has typically averaged more than $400 per night.
It's not the first time the couple have sold one of their renovation projects, but Mrs O'Toole said they had planned to retain the home for a longer period.
However, their decision to sell was influenced by how strong the property market currently was in the Shoalhaven.
"We're happy for someone else to move in and enjoy it," she said.
The front of the home is surrounded by a white picket fence and has verandahs both front and back.
There is also an outdoor shower ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
Mr Walsh said most of the interest in the property, which was sold fully furnished, had been from Sydney and Canberra buyers.
